This free Aspiri course in Statistics is designed exclusively for the IB/Shipping programme at CBS. This course will give you a solid introduction to statistics. Apart from an introduction to theory, the emphasis will be on practical application by solving exercises. Gaining a strong understanding of the fundamentals  will prove valuable as you proceed with your studies

This ASPIRI course in Statistics is designed exclusively for the IB programme and places a strict focus on your ability to solve the types of questions most likely to appear on the exam.

Broadly speaking, the course covers problems within:

• Important probability formulas and how to apply them in problems.
• Descriptive statistics: numerical and graphical.
• Statistical inference: confidence intervals and significance tests about hypotheses.
• Analysis of categorical variables: contingency tables
• Simple and multiple regression analysis.
• One-way and two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).

Our main focus is on your ability to identify the appropriate tools needed to solve a specific question on the exam. However, we will also emphasize your ability to explain relevant issues of Regression Analysis and ANOVA.
