This ASPIRI course in Statistics is designed exclusively for the IB programme and places a strict focus on your ability to solve the types of questions most likely to appear on the exam.

Broadly speaking, the course covers problems within:

• Important probability formulas and how to apply them in problems.
• Descriptive statistics: numerical and graphical.
• Statistical inference: confidence intervals and significance tests about hypotheses.
• Analysis of categorical variables: contingency tables
• Simple and multiple regression analysis.
• One-way and two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).

Our main focus is on your ability to identify the appropriate tools needed to solve a specific question on the exam. However, we will also emphasize your ability to explain relevant issues of Regression Analysis and ANOVA.

This free Aspiri course in Statistics is designed exclusively for the IB/Shipping programme at CBS. This course will give you a solid introduction to statistics. Apart from an introduction to theory, the emphasis will be on practical application by solving exercises.
